eXTRA Chances General Information

• Prize drawings will be held weekly, every Tuesday.
• Entries for each weekly drawing must be received by 11:59:59 p.m. on the Sunday prior to the Tuesday drawing.
• Entries submitted will be valid for the appropriate drawing based on the date the entry is received by the Virginia Lottery.
• To participate, a player must submit one (1) eligible, non-winning ticket from one of our eXTRA Chances Scratcher games.
• Players will receive entries into the appropriate weekly drawing equal to the price point of their Scratcher entry.  (Example: $5 Scratcher = 5 entries)
• This promotion is open to players 18 years of age or older. Players may be required to provide proof of their date of birth.
• A player may enter more than once as long as a different eligible, non-winning ticket from one of our eXTRA Chances Scratchers is submitted as an entry.
• A player is eligible to win one (1) prize per drawing. 
• Chances of winning any prize depend on the total number of entries received.
• The Virginia Lottery will not be responsible for entries submitted incorrectly or received before the start date or after the entry deadline date (for Internet and/or U.S. mail). Such entries shall be deemed invalid.
• We try to contact winners by email, phone and/or mail. If you want us to reach you quickly, be sure your contact information is up to date in your MyGameRoom account. If we can't reach a winner by the deadline listed in the rules, we will move on to an alternate. 

eXTRA Chances Internet Entry Information

• To enter the eXTRA Chances promotion via the Internet, a player must have a valid MyGameRoom account.  
• Players may submit up to 25 eligible, non-winning eXTRA Chances Scratchers per day for this promotion.
• For our eXTRA Chances Promotion, you DO NOT need to keep your tickets once you have successfully submitted all the ticket information.
• Bonus instant wins for non-winning eXTRA Chances Scratchers ended January 31, 2018. All non-winning Scratchers with the eXTRA Chances logo are now eligible only for weekly prize drawings, with the number of entries you receive equal to the price of the non-winning Scratcher you enter.
• any bonus instant-win prize won on or before January 31, 2018 MUST be claimed within 30 days of the date of win.

eXTRA Chances Mail-in Entry Information

• Please submit only one (1) entry per envelope. An entry consists of one eligible, non-winning eXTRA Chances Scratcher ticket.
• Print your full name (no initials), address, city, state, ZIP code, date of birth and daytime telephone number on the back of the ticket.
• Entries MUST include ALL information to be eligible.
• Send the ticket in an envelope no larger than 4.5" x 9.5"
• eXTRA Chances entries should be mailed to the eXTRA Chances P. O. Box listed on the back of each eligible Scratcher.
• Entries mailed to any other Lottery address will not be eligible for this promotion and will not be returned to the player.
• Entries that have been submitted on the Internet are not eligible to be mailed in as entries.

eXTRA Chances Registration and Login

• My password is not being accepted when I try to log in. What's wrong?
  Most likely, you haven't opened a MyGameRoom account. You'll need to open an account to enter your ticket(s). Click "Sign Up" from the top right menu to register. Once completed, click the Continue button.
• I forgot my password. What should I do?
  "Login" from the top right menu and follow the instructions to have your password emailed to you. You'll need to use the original email address you used to open a MyGameRoom account, even if it is no longer current.
• How do I update MyGameRoom account information? To update any of your account information, please call 804-420-9584.

Submitting entries from the website for eXTRA Chances

• I am not able to enter my tickets. When I click on “Enter Now," I am asked to log in. Why is this happening?
  To enter this promotion on the Internet, you need a MyGameRoom account. To open an account, click "Sign Up" from the top right menu to register. Once completed, click the “Continue” button. 
• Where do I find the numbers that I am supposed to enter?
  The eXTRA Chances Code is the 6-digit alpha numeric code found under the latex on the front of the ticket. The Promotion Entry Number is the 14-digit number found on the back of the ticket.
• I received a message that says my ticket has already been entered. How can that be if I have the ticket in my possession, and what should I do?
  First, check your list of previously submitted entries to verify that the ticket has not been previously entered by you. If it has not, please contact the Lottery by filling out the email form on our Contact Us page. Include all applicable numbers that you tried to enter, and the Virginia Lottery will investigate.
• May I enter a drawing more than once?
  Yes. You may enter a drawing more than once. Players may submit up to 25 eligible, non-winning eXTRA Chances Scratchers per day for this promotion. However, a player is eligible to win only one (1) prize per drawing.
• I have tickets, but I can't remember whether I have entered them into the drawing. How can I see which tickets have been entered?
  Each time you submit a ticket, a record of the entry appears in your list of entries at the bottom of the page where you submitted your tickets. All your entries are in that list, so you may cross-reference that list with the tickets you are holding.
• May I dispose of the tickets after I have entered them?
  Yes, you may! For this promotion you do not need to keep your tickets once you have successfully submitted them.
• Do I need to be a Virginia resident to enter this Virginia Lottery promotion?
  No. There are no restrictions for out-of-state players. Anyone who is eligible to purchase Virginia Lottery tickets is eligible to participate in drawings for this promotion.  

eXTRA Chances Winners and Prizes

• How do I find out if I have been selected as a weekly winner?
  For all drawings, an unofficial list of winners will be posted on our website no more than 5 business days after each drawing. Winners become official once we've verified they qualify. We check age, identification, and entry validity. We will contact winners directly to explain how to claim a prize.
• I submitted several entries into the drawing. Why didn't I win a prize?
  Winners are randomly selected, so your chance of winning, no matter how many times you enter, requires a little luck.
• Why was my entry not eligible for an instant-win prize?
  Bonus instant wins for non-winning eXTRA Chances Scratchers ended Jan. 31, 2018. All non-winning Scratchers with the eXTRA Chances logo are now eligible only for weekly prize drawings; the number of entries you receive equals to the price of the non-winning Scratcher you enter.
