The new game offers frequent drawings and a chance to win big!
Today is a great day for the Lottery – Keno launches in Virginia today! This fast, fun draw game features drawings every 4 minutes* and the chance to win up to $1 million**. The Lottery didn’t have a game that offered that level of drawing frequency plus that high of a possible prize in its portfolio before today, and we’re thrilled to bring this new game to players.
If you’ve never heard of Keno, you’re in the right place to learn.
There are four steps to playing Keno.
- Select how many spots you’d like to play from 1 to 10.
- Select how much you want to wager per draw ($1 to $10).
- Select how many consecutive draws you want to play (1 to 20).
- Pick your numbers from 1 to 80, or select Easy Pick to have the computer choose your numbers for you.
One thing that’s important to understand when playing Keno is that you must pick the same quantity of numbers in Step 4 as the quantity of spots you chose in Step 1. In other words, if you selected four spots in Step 1, you would need to pick four numbers from 1 to 80 in Step 4.
The amount you can win playing Keno varies based upon the number of spots you select and your wager. If you play a 10-Spot game and wager $10, you could win $1 million if you match all 10 numbers. The overall odds to win a prize vary based upon the number of spots you select and range from 1 in 2.8 to 1 in 16.6. You can view the full Prizes & Odds table on the Keno game page.
The Lottery offers several ways for players to see if their Keno tickets are winners. Players can watch the live drawings on our site, check their tickets on a Ticket Checker or Lottery Vending Machine at a retailer or even check their numbers on the Lottery app. We wanted to make it as easy as possible for players to check their Keno numbers.
The Lottery is thrilled to offer Keno to players. It’s a fun, fast-paced draw game that offers the chance to win every 4 minutes*!
And we’re all about lots of chances to win.
*Except during system processing time. **Odds to win the top prize are 1 in 8,911,711. Overall odds to win a prize range from 1 in 2.8 to 1 in 16.6. Tickets cannot be canceled.
